Wednesday 5 March was a super night out with a couple of girlfriends at the EJ concert.
It was a balmy 25 degrees and we had amazing seats in the VIP area, many thanks to Alana

We all queued for the photo...

We were up close to all the action. Elton’s piano was mounted on a hydraulic platform which travelled around the stage. We were able to get a good look of some of his eye-popping costume changes.
BLING BIRDS
We succumbed to some of the cheaper merchandise ...even possible to buy new batteries for them so many years of wear ahead!
EJ’s a little pudgy and not so lively these days but colourful and out-there-as- ever, he played the piano as dexterously as ever and had a sensational band behind him. There was a very good percussionist-cum-cheerleader, Ray Cooper who added colour and drama with a kit including timpani and tubular bells.

SIR JOHN
Staging was lavish and high definition film clips accompanied many of the songs, usually adding to their emotional impact.
I was thrilled to hear most of his popular songs and more. What’s more he was on stage for nearly three hours. A great night of entertainment.
