I've wanted a water pot for a while and finally discovered one with a lovely rustic antique finish.  I plugged and sealed it, filled it with a water lily and a dwarf papyrus plants, a couple of Guppies and now it graces the courtyard.

Gympie Ladies Golf Xmas Party

We celebrated the end of our 2013 golf season with a fun day at the golf club.  The social committee delivered a varied program with many 'games' - trivia, charades, puzzles, singing and even the dreaded karaoke machine.  However after a few drinks no one really cared how one sounded.  We had a fantastic meal with some really yummy dishes.

The photo shows the major winners in the different divisions.  The sixth person from the left who is partly obscured was the winner of the diamond that we all tried to win all year, with a hole in one on a par three hole.  She was also the winner of many other awards.  I was winner of the Monthly Medals for Division B - a minor award.  However I was really pleased to have my golf handicap gradually reducing to a nearly respectable number over the year - I've reached 27.
